You have two options: use the built-in AI assistant to describe what you want in plain English and it builds it for you, or use any AI tool you already know — like Claude.ai, ChatGPT, or Cursor — to create your app, then upload the files to your server and hit publish. How does the AI Assistant work?
It's a chat window built into your server's dashboard. You type what you want to build, and the AI reads your existing project files, writes new code, and deploys changes directly to your hardware. Can people actually visit my apps from the internet?
Yes. When you publish, your app gets a public URL that anyone can visit — no configuration needed. For a custom domain like myapp.com, you can connect Cloudflare (free) to route traffic to your server securely, with your home IP hidden and HTTPS automatic.
Do I need a special internet connection?
No. Any standard home internet works. Baumeister connects to your router via ethernet. For local access, just open baumeister.local in your browser. For public access, publishing gives you a URL instantly — or connect Cloudflare for a custom domain.
